Airbnb: Like Our Ancestors
Airbnb lets people experience home away from home.
The very first humans to experience this phenomenon were our earliest ancestors, the Neanderthals, who were commonly referred to as cavemen and cavewomen. They were always on the move searching for food and avoiding danger and therefore learnt to belong anywhere.
This is how they survived the next two million years and the reason we’re here today, so it must mean it’s human nature to belong anywhere.
Since life is too short to stay in the same place, I wrote two print ads to encourage people to embrace their human need to belong somewhere new, even for just a little while.
